Skin Care Routine Part 3

Exfoliate

My favourite face scrub for years is the Dermalogica daily microfoliant - is a rice-based exfoliating powder activates upon contact with water. It is gentle enough to use everyday, But i still recommend to use this twice a week rather than everyday. Because over exfoliating is not good for your skin. I've noticed every time i use this my face looks brighter and smoother. It really does! what i like to do during my routine is after I cleanse my face, i pour a good amount of product and gently rub it on my skin in a circular motion then I leave it for 2-5 mins as a mask, then rinse it off. 
the result: more clearer,smoother and brighter skin.
My next favourite face scrub is the Stemulation daily microderm scrub - it also brightens and energizes the skin. and has a citrus scent that i love.


Treat

I love the Michael Todd's Charcoal mask as my regular mask.
I also love using night mask like the Dr. Jart water-moisture night mask or the Kiehl's ultra facial overnight hydrating masque for extra hydration. 

Professional facial treatment

As much as i love using my regular masks and exfoliators. I am obsessed with professional facial treatments like chemical peel and microdermabrasion. its more effective than any other skin care products and you will see great results from it.
My favourite during winter months would be chemical peel, I love the PCA sensi peel or PCA peels in general. I have tried them all. it is my absolute favourite peel in the world. it gives me really great result! my skin always feel so soft, smooth and looks brighter. 
My other favourite is the Circadia Lactic acid this peel does not peel that much compare to the PCA peels.
I usually treat myself once a month during colder days.

For warmer days I prefer the peel alternative from PCA like the Therapeutic Papaya Mask followed by Therapeutic Oatmilk Mask. they're a perfect combination. the papaya mask exfoliate the skin and the oatmilk mask hydrates the skin. 
this is a professional mask, compare to others this masks really works!

Evening routine:

Cleanse

 If I wear any make-up that night I like using my Biorderma cleansing water on a cotton pad and gently wipe all the make-up on my face, then I use my Elure facial wash to thoroughly cleanse my face. I usually cleanse twice using my Elure face wash just to make sure my face is free from make-up. 


Tone

Then I will follow up with my PCA smoothing toner to remove all the debris, oil and dirt that is left behind. I've noticed after using this for years that my pores are smaller and clearer. it helps to remove superficial dead skin cells and leaves your skin smooth and clear. what I also like about this toner is that its alcohol-free and contains lactic and citric acids that is great for exfoliating your skin. 
Now, I only use this toner If I wear any make-up that night. 
My everyday  toner would be the PCA Nutrient Toner, it has the same benefits but with added nutrients,vitamins and enzymes from the pumpkin wine. This is great for most skin types especially for dry and mature skin as it has many beneficial ingredients for that specific skin types.

Hydrate and Moisturize

For night cream my absolute favourite would be my Circadia Aquaporin hydrating cream
this hydrating cream is the BEST! I used to have dry and flaky skin but not anymore!
it does not only hydrate my skin but it makes my skin baby soft and luminous. it has really good ingredients which I love the most. the packaging is really nice too. it has a pump at the top that only dispense the right amount of product. its very neat as well. love love this cream.

For the eyes I only use my only one and trusted Eyexcellence from PCA. I just use a tiny amount and dot it around my eyes in a circular and gentle motion.

I've noticed it improves the appearance of dark circles and puffiness around my eyes.

Morning skin care routine

Skin Care Routine Part 1

Morning routine:

In the shower I like to use my Circadia Lipid replacing cleansing gel - this gel type cleanser is very soothing and softening. it doesn't foam that much so I prefer to use this in the morning when I don't have anything on my face. it does not strip your skin like other cleanser does. it has a mild scent to it that is very pleasant.

After I cleanse, I always protect my skin using my trusted and favourite moisturizer with spf. I either use my PCA weightless protection spf 45 or my Elta MD UV daily. review here

If I'm going out I like to use my Smashbox camera ready CC cream in color light to even out my skin and to cover any redness that i might have.

I always keep my skin care routine simple and basic, for me less is better.

I have been looking for a sunscreen/moisturizer in a long time to replace my trusted moisturizer PCA weightless protection spf 45 when they became unavailable to Canada. I was skeptical at first because I thought nothing could replace my PCA moisturizer, but I was wrong. Finally I gave this one a try and WOW!

This moisturizer with spf 40 is the BEST in the market! I have been using this for a year now and its my second bottle already and i still love it. I don't think I will ever purchase another sunscreen ever again. I have tried so many in the past and I didn't like any of them. It definitely replaced my old favourite PCA weightless protection spf 45. In fact both of them are the same in texture, it glides smoothly on the skin, not greasy or heavy which I really hate on a sunscreen. its just perfect. absolutely perfect. Thank you Elta Md for making such a wonderful product!

• last for about 8-10 hours ( at least in my experience)
• a sheer blush but buildable
• looks beautiful on the cheeks
• it doesn't dry to a powdery finish
• easy to blend

Cons:

All in all I adore this blush! even this has a watery consistency its very easy to blend. You just need a tiny amount for both cheeks. this best use with RT stippling brush, it just gives an amazing result. Definitely check this out if you can.

Cons:

This is by far my most favourite blush! I am so obsessed with this blush right now that I want to get all the colors! the texture is very unique, so airy and light weight on the skin. I find it very easy to blend by using just your fingertips. And it gives the most beautiful glow on the skin. I am so in love with this blush, this is way better than the YSL creme de blush. Do check this out if you haven't. Definitely a must have for a blush addict like me :).
